ONE OF A KIND SONG FOR DR. KING'S BIRTHDAY

Lyrics to the song "Dreams" written by Jim Moore and Tom Kimmel, and recorded by The Animal Band (Animal Rock - CD).

Leonardo had a dream of a flying machine
It could play hiding seek in the clouds
All it took was a plan to take off and land
He knew it would work but how
They said man it won't fly, your head's in the sky
And you'd best keep your feet on the ground

But he had a dream
And though everyone else wondered why
He knew one day it would fly
And that's why we keep dreams alive

Ben Franklin had a kite and a vision of light
That outshone the moon and the stars
He could read until eight and stay up real late
And still find his keys in the dark
They said Ben it won't work, you could even get hurt
Besides nobody's really that smart

But he had a dream
And though everyone else wondered why
He knew one day it would fly
And that's why we keep dreams alive

Now you take Dr King when he walked on the scene
With his talk about freedom and peace
He was crossing the line way ahead of his time
He was hoping we'd follow his lead
They said Martin no way, you're making big waves
And you're only one fish in the sea

But he had a dream
And though everyone else wondered why
He knew one day it would fly
And that's why we keep dreams alive

He had a dream and when nobody thought it would roll
He took it straight to the soul
He gave us somewhere to go
He had a dream
He had a dream
He had a dream

THE ANIMAL BAND'S MUSIC IS MAKING A DIFFERENCE

We have two sons Jacob 5yrs and Connor 2yrs. They are both just crazy about the Animal Band! We have been listening to the CD every day on the way to and from school. Jacob really likes the "Going To School Blues" especially when we're on our way to school - he thinks that is so funny.

Our 2 year old son Connor loves to watch the DVD and listen to the CD. A few months ago in April when he turned 2, we started getting kind of concerned because he didn't talk nearly as much as other kids his age. To make a long story short, we had his speech, hearing, and overall development evaluated and discovered that he had a moderate hearing loss due to fluid in his ears. This put him about 6 months behind in his expressive speech. He got tubes in his ears in May to correct the problem, and now he can hear just fine but his speech has still not taken off the way we had hoped it would after the tubes. In the last few weeks, however, since my brother-in-law gave us the Animal Band CD and DVD it is amazing. He frequently says "Animal Band" when he wants to watch the DVD and he is singing along with a lot of the words to the songs. He also claps his hands, dances, and basically imitates what he sees on the DVD. It has made us so happy just to see both of our boys have so much fun and be so enthusiastic about the music, but it is REALLY awesome to see Connor making so much more effort to talk (and sing)!

Thanks for the awesome music, positive message, and fun DVD! We really appreciate you!

Sincerely,

Kristi Maxwell

SCHOOL VISITS

Jim Moore, creator of The Animal Band, will be visiting schools in North America during the 2005-2006 school year. He is an award-winning author, entertainer, and songwriter. "The Wild World of Jim Moore" offers exciting workshops and a musical extravaganza grand finale'. Here's what educators are saying about his school visits:

During Jim's writing workshops he uses examples from his own real-life experiences as to the origin of song and book ideas. "Small Ideas Become Big Ideas" - students were able to see how events in their own lives could turn into a book, essay or song. He made creativity become real to them. Jim's day at our school was an amazing experience for our faculty. Our students adored him. I highly recommend Jim as a guest author. His visit to our school was a HUGE success.

Susan Davis, Media Specialist Ft. Lauderdale, FL

Having Jim at our school was a GREAT investment!! In his classroom sessions he is a motivating speaker, encouraging kids to "dream big". He takes the time to make every child feel important. His high-energy grand finale' assembly was so much fun. We LOVED Jim Moore!

Beth Wilkerson, Music Teacher- New Hope, AL

Jim Moore ROCKS! He is absolutely fabulous - the best school performer I've seen in 15 years of teaching school. Not only did he captivate our students and teachers but kept them involved and excited. I applaud him for making a difference in the lives of children. Schools need a Jim Moore.
